Our Policies — Uniplug

Our
Policies.

We hold ourselves to the same standards we expect from the brands we platform. These are our commitments — plainly stated, no filler.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Uniplug is committed to building an inclusive environment where every person — regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background — is treated with dignity and given equal opportunity.

  • We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exclusion in any form
  • We actively seek to platform brands founded by or serving underrepresented communities
  • We review our own practices regularly and hold ourselves accountable to improving

DEI is not a checkbox for us. It is a lens through which we make decisions.

Fair & Equal Pay

We are committed to paying everyone fairly and equitably for the work they do. This means:

  • Equal pay for equal work, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or background
  • Compensation that meets or exceeds the Real Living Wage for all roles
  • Transparent pay structures with no unexplained disparities
  • Regular pay audits to identify and address any gaps

We expect the same commitment from any supplier, partner, or brand we work with.

Health & Safety

The wellbeing of everyone connected to Uniplug — team members, collaborators, and the communities we serve — is non-negotiable.

  • We maintain a safe working environment in compliance with UK health and safety law
  • We support mental health as seriously as physical health, and foster a culture where people feel safe to speak up
  • We expect suppliers and partners to uphold equivalent standards across their operations and supply chains

Child & Forced Labour

We have zero tolerance for child labour, forced labour, or any form of modern slavery. This is absolute and non-negotiable.

  • We will not platform, partner with, or source from any entity that uses or tolerates child or forced labour
  • We carry out due diligence on brands and suppliers we work with, and reserve the right to terminate any relationship where these standards are not met
  • We are committed to compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015

If you have concerns about practices within our supply chain or network, please contact us at info@uniplug.co.

Supplier Diversity

We believe that a diverse supplier base leads to better outcomes — for business, for communities, and for the planet. We actively seek to work with suppliers that reflect the diversity of the world around us.

  • We give fair consideration to businesses owned by women, people of colour, disabled individuals, and other underrepresented groups
  • We avoid consolidating spend with a small number of dominant suppliers where diverse alternatives exist
  • We encourage the independent brands we platform to adopt the same approach

Environmental Sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of everything Uniplug does. We hold ourselves to rigorous environmental standards and apply the same scrutiny to the brands we work with.

  • We only platform brands that demonstrate a genuine commitment to sustainable practices — in materials, packaging, production, and supply chain
  • We do not accept paid placements or partnerships that would compromise our editorial independence or greenwash our platform
  • We minimise our own environmental footprint as an organisation and are transparent about where we still have work to do
  • We do not platform brands that make unsubstantiated environmental claims

Sustainability is not a marketing position. It is how we operate.

About This Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Uniplug website at uniplug.co and any related pages, features, or services operated by Uniplug Limited ("Uniplug", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Uniplug Limited is a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 167–169 Great Portland Street, Fifth Floor, London, W1W 5PF.

Where you purchase products directly from us, those purchases are governed by our separate Terms of Sale (for consumers) or Wholesale Terms (for business customers), not by these Terms of Use.

The Platform

Uniplug is a free, all-in-one sustainability platform and curated discovery space. We serve three audiences:

  • Individuals browse a curated directory of independent brands doing things properly, where every brand earns its place.
  • Businesses use the directory to discover credible sustainable alternatives across any category. Need further help sourcing or switching? We support businesses with sourcing across the UK, US, and Europe.
  • Brands that are genuinely sustainable and independently owned can apply to be featured. There are no fees, ever — just honest visibility for brands doing it right.

For most brands featured, we act as a discovery platform only: no transaction takes place on our site and links point to the brand's own website. For a limited range of products, Uniplug sells directly — to consumers in the UK and US, and to businesses in the EU. Those direct sales are governed by our separate Terms of Sale and Wholesale Terms.

The content on this site is provided for informational and general discovery purposes. We do our best to keep it accurate and up to date, but we make no guarantees about its completeness or currency. Listings are not definitive and are updated as new information emerges.

Acceptable Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • Use the site in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or resell any part of our website or its content without our express written permission
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the site without prior authorisation
  • Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its server
  • Impersonate Uniplug, its team, or any brand featured on the platform
  • Use the site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for anyone we reasonably believe is in breach of these terms.

Intellectual Property

All content created by us on this website — including text, design, graphics, layout, and the Uniplug name and trademark — is the intellectual property of Uniplug Limited or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any such content without our prior written consent.

The Uniplug™ name and mark are trademarks of Uniplug Limited. Nothing on this site grants you any right to use them.

All other brand names, logos, and trademarks featured on the platform are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on Uniplug does not imply any partnership, endorsement, or affiliation between Uniplug and that brand, in either direction.

Brand Listings & Inclusion

Every brand featured on Uniplug has been reviewed and approved against our own sustainability and independence standards. Featuring is our editorial decision, based on that assessment — it is not a paid placement and cannot be bought.

Brand descriptions are compiled from publicly available sources and from the brands themselves. Certifications, ingredients, formulations, and other claims are the responsibility of each brand and may change over time. We assess brands in good faith based on the information available to us, but we do not independently test products or guarantee the ongoing accuracy of every claim.

A brand's inclusion means we have approved it against our standards — it does not mean the brand has reviewed, approved, or endorsed its own listing or the way it is described. Listings are not definitive and may be amended or removed at any time.

If your brand is featured and you would prefer not to be, or you believe a listing is inaccurate, please contact us or use the "Report a concern" button on any listing. We will review and, where appropriate, amend or remove the listing promptly.

Free to Use, No Paid Placement & Affiliate Links

The Uniplug discovery platform is free to use. We do not accept payment in exchange for featuring, recommending, ranking, or promoting any brand or product — there are no paid placements and no paid rankings. Brands are listed solely on their alignment with our values.

Some listings contain affiliate links on select products. Where they do, we indicate it at the point of the link, and we donate all affiliate earnings to charity. Affiliate arrangements never influence whether a brand is featured, how it is described, or where it appears.

Our no-paid-placement and no-paid-ranking principles govern editorial curation only. They are separate from any products Uniplug sells directly, which are offered on their own commercial terms and never affect how any brand is curated, described, or ranked.

We do not engage in greenwashing. Any sustainability claims associated with featured brands are presented in good faith based on information available to us, and we are not liable for the accuracy of claims made by third-party brands.

Third-Party Links

Our website contains links to third-party websites, including the independent brands we feature. These links are provided for convenience and do not constitute an endorsement of the linked site or its content.

We have no control over the content, privacy practices, pricing, or availability of third-party sites, and are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of them. Any prices or availability shown are indicative, set by the brand rather than by us, and may change.

Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice, nor is it intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Always do your own research, and consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new supplement or wellness regimen.

(Disclaimers here relate to use of the website and its content. They do not limit your statutory rights when you buy products directly from us — those are set out in our Terms of Sale.)

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Uniplug Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decisions made in reliance on information on this site, arising from your use of — or inability to use — this website, its content, or the products, services, or conduct of featured brands.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are accessing this site from outside the United Kingdom, you are responsible for compliance with local laws to the extent they apply.
